ORGANISING YOUR EVENT

Your event has the potential to raise a lot of money for your chosen charity, school, hospice, or community, so a little well planned organisation now will go along way to help realise this potential.

So we have the idea now is time to consider the basics.

Where, When, What, & Why ?

Where - a suitable venue is needed this will also give you an idea of how many people will be able to attend depending on size, car parking, and transport. Be aware permission will be needed for private and public land.

When - A suitable date and time needs to be arranged and at this point we would also recommend letting your local police, council and first aiders agree with this date and time.

Remember running in the height of summer or dead of winter probably isn't the best idea you have ever had.

What - Name your event. I catchy new name ( not a registered event name which could get you into trouble).

Why - Why are we holding the event, what good cause are we supporting. Charity, Hospice, Local Community or School.

ALL DONE ? Great now we are on our way to a great day out.

Its now time to push ahead with the event in more detail.

Organisers and volunteers will need to be recruited, toilets arranged, first aid, and promote promote promote, social media, flyers, posters etc.

The event Course will need to be mapped out, powder ordered, we can help with the quantity once you have an idea of the numbers attending. Dispensing powder, are you dispensing via stations along the route, individual bags or both.

Do you have any pre or post run entertainment planned, food sales after 11pm, alcohol, and loud music all require a licence.

GUNGE UPDATE - GIVE AWAY

A fantastic start to the coming summer months with our free gunge giveaway proving to be a great hit with all involved, many £1000's raised by PTA's with the "gunge the head" or nominated teacher. Initial feedback seems to show that selling raffle tickets for £1 is the way to go, with some children buying more than one ticket at a time, to get have more chances to be the lucky person to gunge there "favorite teacher". It looks like an average of £1.15 per child is being raised. A simple chair and small set of steps (with an adult) is all that is needed to "gunge the head. Many thanks to all involved and for supplying this information. photos of the events will be posted as soon as we get permission from the schools. We GIVEAWAY this powder with every colour run powder order enough gunge powder to make a 10ltr bucket, additional sachets can be purchased for only £8.99 enough for another 10ltr bucket ! Available in a choice of horrid colours we are sure this will help our PTA's raise a lot more much needed monies this year. Please share your photo's to our new Facebook group Event Colour. Well yes the photo says it all, colour is what we do. Thank you to all the 100's of schools who have already taken advantage of our Spring promotion, and stocked up on this years powder. Our sales have increased year to date by over 200% and don,t worry will are in full swing our factory is working flat out producing up to 3000kg per hour ! We wont let you down it wont be delayed from India ! Our new filling line will produce over 350,000 single 100gm bags this year and these are available at 48p inc VAT and in an unrivalled 8 colours and up to 60 bespoke colours. We have spoke to a lot of PTA's this last 3 months about why they choose Event Colour Ltd and it seems not only our pricing but the fact our powders are UK manufactured and certified to EN71 parts 1,2 and 3, this european standard applies to all children,s toys including chemicals and powders. So when we say its "safe and non toxic" it is safe and non toxic. SAFETY HAS TO COME FIRST. We speak to schools and PTA's daily, and with there help we have put together some great deals for your t-shirts, and soon to be medals. watch this space. We have links to children's sunglasses and you can buy these with uv400 protection for only 83p per pair including VAT. Oh and we dont do umbrella's, glow sticks or anything else that will eat into your money raising efforts, and ruin the planet along the way. Spend 5 minutes per item and you could save an average 200 pupil school the following. Sunglass 50p per pair, Tee shirts from £1.11 for a nice quality tee save 50p , swap medals for certificates which cost only 5p to print including the paper save up to £390 .. that could be a saving of up to £590,,, well done thank yourself in advance. But we do have a medal supplier who will supply you eco friendly wooden medals for under £1.50 Why do we not sell these items ? we get asked this all the time, well as it says we manufacture powder, just powder, and for this reason we have an affiliation with PTA+ magazine, as there recommended supplier for the money we help PTA's raise every year.
